About Dantoo
Dantoo is a UK web publishing company running a portfolio of gaming-focused websites and tools used by millions of people every month. Our sites include:
- Roblox Den: one of the biggest Roblox codes, guides and tools platforms around
- Total CS: one of the largest CS2 content sites in the world
- Ark IDs: an ARK: Survival Evolved database of item codes, creature IDs, commands and more
- Skin Shark: a CS2 skin price-comparison Chrome extension
…plus a bunch of other websites and a stack of internal tools we've built to run everything behind the scenes.
We're a small, distributed team that ships fast and isn't afraid to try things.
The role
We're growing, improving our existing projects and building new sites. We're a team of one and a half developers and our lead developer can't do it all. That's where you come in.
You'll work across our existing sites and tools, help build new ones, and take real ownership of chunks of what we do. Some days you'll be QA-ing a sprint on staging; the next you might be rebuilding a section of one of our websites from a spec and wireframe you helped plan. It varies, and that's the fun of it.
What you'll be doing
- Testing and QA on staging before sprint launches
- Reviewing our developer reports and dashboards and fixing what's broken
- Implementing tickets across our existing sites, extensions, apps and internal tools
- Building new sections and features for new sites and projects as they launch
- Improving and tidying our existing codebase
- Redeveloping our mobile apps
Who we're looking for
We don't care how many years you've been doing this. "Five years of Node.js" means nothing to us. A lazy developer can rack up five years and still write bad code. There's no minimum experience requirement. Show us a solid portfolio and what you can actually build: that counts for far more than a long CV.
You'll need:
- Native-level English, written and spoken
- Solid Node.js and JavaScript experience
- Frontend web development experience (CSS/HTML/JS)
- A genuine interest in gaming or tech
- The ability to work independently and problem-solve, to figure things out without being hand-held
- High standards
- Experience building with AI tools to ship features and tools quickly (big bonus if you're handy with Claude Code) (we do not work slow)
- To be comfortable in a organised-chaos environment where something's always on fire
- A portfolio: GitHub, live projects, anything you think shows you've got what it takes.
Very good to have:
- Svelte + SvelteKit
- Postgres and/or MongoDB
- Browser extension development
- A good design eye
- Strapi or another headless CMS
- Docker
Nice to have:
- SEO and content knowledge
- Familiarity with ARK, Roblox or CS2
- iOS and Android app development (even better if it's React Native)
Don't tick every box? Apply anyway. If you're the right person, we'll happily train you up in the areas you're not strong in yet.
What you get
- Fully remote, so you can work from wherever you are
- Pick your hours, though you'll need to overlap with UK business hours on some days
- Permanent and full-time, salaried. If you're outside the UK, we'll hire you through an Employer of Record
- Competitive pay, based on your location and experience
- Commission and bonuses on projects and website sections you lead (after a probation period)
- Competitive holiday entitlement
- A very casual work environment
- Real ownership: got an idea you want to try? You probably can do it
- A big role in a small team, where what you build actually ships and matters (you'll probably do and learn more here in one year than you will in a decade at somewhere more corporate)
- Need a specific tool or resource to do your job well? Ask, we'll sort it.
